Astounding feat

Last week, someone did a 10km jog/run. Not me but this little pack of muscle here.

Results? Sore arms/legs, no running about and being mellow all day long. Possibly the cutest ball of muscle after the run.

On Pets

I find it rude when random stranger comes up to me and offer tips on how to train/do trick with my pet. Seriously, keep your tips to yourselves thankyouverymuch.

You don’t see moms walking up to other moms and offer free tips on teaching other kids do they?

DIY Fast Food

When I said fast food I meant food that is fast to make; not literally fast food. Over the weekend, I made some rather simple, healthy and yummy food.

These Pineapple Lemon Chicken are to die for. Why healthy? They are chicken breast, the batter is make out of egg white + cornflour, it is deep fried in extra virgin olive oil and I separated the sauce so it does not get soaked filled with sauce.

The sauce itself is only lemon squeeze, natural pineapple juice, soy sauce, a pinch of sugar and garlic. Healthy eh?

And this is my favorite and super easy to make. Egg drop spinach soup. I made two whole pots because this is high in protein, keeps you full and no artificial stuff in it. There you have it, simple, healthy, yummy and quick food.

An alternative to shaving

After shaving for what seems like a decade, I have decided to try out Braun’s Silk-epil Xpressive SE7781. Initially I was looking for the 7681 modal but it is not available in Australia so I settled with 7781. We got it from the shaver shop and we got $10 off because we asked for a cheaper price. Amazing how you can haggle price in retail shops and this is the second time we got our price offered cheaper.

So, start haggling out of the market too people !!

As for the epilator it works with these blades to constantly lift/pull away your hair; many at a time. It may sound painful but it really isn’t. The period in between epilating varies, some may take up to a month to regrow their hair, some faster and some slower.

Pros:

  • The “smartlight” function was really helpful to show up all the fine hairs that would otherwise be missed.
  • I could barely feel anything while epilating my leg (below the knees).
  • It is cordless hence it is easy to maneuver without any tangling cords.
  • No more shaving my legs/underarm everyday. I only need to epilate once every 2-3 weeks.
  • My hair did grown back finer and less noticeable.
  • No nicks/cuts.
  • The pain while epilating my underarm remarkably reduced the second time I epilate. The same applies for the rest of the body. I wonder why?
  • The epilator picks up hair as fine/short as 2mm.
  • Comes with some pre-epilator wipes from Olay.
  • Comes with plenty of changable heads for different usage. I am currently loving the beginner cap.

Cons:

  • Because the epilator is plucking every individual strands off the skin; thus making the skin more prone to ingrown hair. Frequent scrubbing is required.
  • The pain while epilating my underarms for the first time were rather daunting. I’d give it a 7/10 in terms of pain, where 10 being the most painful.
  • Requires more patience/time to swipe/clean the epilator from the strands of hair it plucked off.
  • Can be rather noisy.

The best two words to describe this is fast and efficient.

While it took me sometime to gather enough courage to epilate my underarm (because it hurts quite abit the first time I tried to), I am happy I did get it over and done with because the second time round everything was so easy, managable and tolerable.

The little pain is definitely worth saving all the extra time we spent on shaving/plucking on a daily basis.

Stay tuned. I am yet to try it out on the bikini line. I am still too afraid to do it for now but when I do get to it; I shall blog abour it.

I got it for 169 licks.

On Food

I can’t get over my strict theory of not wasting food. I gobble down every single last bit even when I am full. I suppose this is the reason why I am gaining weight?

Missha: Cucumber Soothing Mask

I got this as a freebie from Missha. Pretty average mask I’d say. The mask was a breeze to attach to the face. It was not messy/dripping when I applied it on and the size of the mask was just right for my face.

After 20-30 minutes on my face, all the liquid were thoroughly seeped into my skin. The mask was falling off my face itself. Weird huh?

Even though it is a Cucumber Soothing Mask it smelt a lot like rockmelon. Overall, while it was easy to deal with, it did nothing much to my skin that can be visibly seen. Doubt I will purchase this.

Not Addicted

It has been MONTHS since I burnt my leg. No amount of heeling gel/blister pads/rosehip oil/bio oil/aloe vera gel/vitamin c oil/vitamin e serum/bb cream/scrubs could heal the scar that has gradually become an eye sore to me.

The scar looks as fresh as it has been recent but I swear all the discoloration is coming from underneath the skin. The scar is baby smooth to touch because of all the stuff that I have been rubbing religious into for months. I guess I should be grateful for the small little scabs around the main blister has completely heeled.

For this very reason, I have been shying away from my heels/shopping for shoes/looking down on my feet. I have been covering my feet with boots all winter long. While it does not look half as bad on these pictures, the scar actually look 10x more darker/angrier in person and this has been slowly killing me.

So it got me thinking….

Maybe, just maybe I should do something about it?
Consequently, I am starting to consider foot tattoo. It feels and seems right for me to get one to cover up this flaw. I went on a foot tattoo research hunt and found out that the foot is the most painful place to tattoo. They take longer (up to 3 months) to heal completely, has more chances of infection, more inconvenient and they blur more easily.

While many people I know kept telling me how tattoos are so addictive. For me, tattoo is not about an addictive issue. It is more about a certain mile stone/achievement/reminder for myself. Not so much as an exhibitionist; it is something rather personal and means something dearly to me.

I am thinking of getting some work done on my right feet; something to do with some pink stargazer lilies. I felt it right as soon as I saw this picture. What can I say? I am a sucker for lilies.

Summer is coming up and it is just about the right time to get one. Seems like everything has panned out to how it is meant to be. Should I listen to all these little voices in my head?

P/S: Here’s a list of pretty celebrities with horrible tattoos. Most of them have ugly tattoo anyway.

Biore: Self- Heating Mask

A box of Biore’s Self Heating Mask comes with 8 huge capsules. So huge so that one capsule can actually be shared between two person.

Pro:

The heat sensation felt good upon application but it dissipates fairly quickly.

The mask was very easy to wash off and it wasn’t messy at all.

No dripping, no dropping and certainly no drying and crackling.

It is reasonably priced. Worth trying out for.

Cons:

The portion for one capsule is way too much for a face even when I slathered on a huge glob all over my face.

If you have extremely sensitive skin you might want to be careful while using this product as the heat may be a little too hot for the sensitive skin. It was quite a burning sensation when I first applied it on and it felt like burning my cheeks for 5-10 secs.

It did not do much difference to the skin. My skin was not immediately deep cleansed or anything like that.

Verdict:

Will not repurchase this as I have yet to see any results.
