When it comes to brows, I am very particular with them. I don’t let other people apart from Lien Davies of Brows & Makeup to touch them and I try my best to keep them trimmed and never overtly plucked. Despite my continuous effort to keep them on tip top condition; I find my brows are quite sparse and have bald spots that requires filling. Yeap, eye brow make up is part of my everyday life.
At first look, I have to admit this brow kit is quite bulky and appears too big to fit into makeup bags or traveling. Definitely something I am looking to depot and fit into my umii palette. While this kit comes with grooming and shaping tools, I strongly recommend one to visit a professional to get their brows done and utilise these tools to help maintain. Remember it is never wise to DIY your brows, never a good idea and never will.
In terms of quality, the pressed brow powder is quite fine and pigmented. So go easy and a little at a time to fill in any gaps in your brows or just shape it to add definition. There’s also a highlighter powder to enhance your brow shape and definition. Just add a tiny dab below and above your arch and the inner corners of the eye to add that instant sparkle. As for the brow pomade, as I am not a big fan of pomades; I only use very little of them with my finger to dab and press my hair in place to keep any unruly strays in place. Be careful not to go overboard and they can turn your brow hair greasy looking.
All in all, this is a good valued kit for brows especially someone who is a beginner in taming their brows. If in doubt bring it in to your brow stylist next and I am sure they will also teach you how to use it. Personally I prefer to depot the powders and pomade from the kit and transfer them into my umii palette to ensure it is more compact.
