Dermaviduals Hyaluronic Acid Liposomes Plus

Not too long ago, I was introduced to Dermaviduals, a German skincare brand I have not heard before. Upon doing some research with the brand, Dermaviduals develops a customised dermatological skin care solution to optimally maintain natural skin barrier and prevent premature ageing. Something I have been actively researching and trialling new products to prevent my coming of age. Yes I’m turning 30 in a few years and yes, I am trying and doing all the right things to stop looking my age.

Dermaviduals focuses on practices like free from emulsifiers, preservatives, fragrances, mineral oils, silicones, dyes and amines, making it suitable for even reactive and sensitive skin. The key ingredients are formed with a base product called Dermal Membrane Structure (DMS). This product resembles the membrane structure of the natural skin barrier and thus corresponds to the principles of corneotherapy (improving the function of the skin barrier and its ability to defend and protect the skin from external factors). In other words, this brand is safe to use for all skin types and works to strengthen your skin.

Dermaviduals doesn’t believe in a blanket approach to skin care.  They realise that, like fingerprints, everyone has different skin.

As such, the scientists at dermaviduals have developed a proven skin care concept that can be tailored to individual skin conditions and types.  Using base creams, the product range allows therapists or clients to individually adapt creams, masks, packs, lotions (as well as massage and ultrasound products) with nearly 30 different active agent concentrates to treat specific skin conditions.  This enables effective treatment of any type of skin condition using only a select number of products.

All dermaviduals products are scientifically formulated to match the composition of the skin, thereby penetrating more effectively than traditional creams which contain emulsifiers – sitting on the surface of the skin, offering only short term results.  In contrast, dermaviduals serums are encapsulated in liposomal membranes, which merge with the barrier layers of the skin and open those layers for penetration of dermaviduals pure ingredients.  Once released, these agents penetrate through the skin barrier, providing an accurate and responsive delivery system.

Technicalities aside, I got to trial the Dermaviduals Hyaluronic Acid Liposome Plus (20ml) designed for both face and eye area. The key ingredient in this is hyaluronic acid (obviously) produced by biotechnology and has a molecular weight of approximately 2 MD (2 MegaDalton). Meaning this is also 2.5 times more effective than the hyaluronic acid you get in the market.

As we all know hyaluronic acid is key to keeping skin supple, moisturised and to prevent wrinkles without feeling heavy on the skin. Combined with high dosage in liposomal dispersion the effectiveness is increased to treat dry, ageing skin. I find this product great for winter and feels very lightweight. While I love my skin feeling moisturised but at the same time I don’t want it to feel heavy. This serum works to absorb into skin almost instantly, leaving skin velvety soft with no signs of oiliness/greasiness.

Another thing I love about this serum is that I am able to bring this up towards my eye area without fear of getting any eye irritation and let’s be honest if serum is great on the face why not use it around the delicate eye area to prevent fine lines and first signs of ageing?

Overall, I love this serum as it is lightweight, efficient (absorbs instantly), convenient (dropper packaging) and delivers what it promises. Moisture to my skin and keeping it well hydrated without dry patches.
