Continuing from their popular “Flawless” collection, Benefit Cosmetic has recently launched a stick primer known as the Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer. Previously, I blogged about my love for Hello Flawless and Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow, naturally I was intrigued when this landed on my desk. I knew I would fall in love with it, just look at the cute polka dot packaging. Packaging wise, Benefit has certainly upped their game.

This primer comes in stick form, the Virgo in me naturally thinks this is unhygienic so I always make sure I use an unscented wet wipe to wipe the surface before and after use to ensure they don’t look grubby or disgusting. Apart from that, I find this a breeze to spot amongst my drawer full of primer. It is easy to store and is very easy to apply.

Texture wise, this is quite unique and hard to describe. It felt paste like but almost disappears onto skin and is quite hard to spread. My application goes something like this – apply all over my oily T-zone and around chin by drawing strokes and dab/blend with my fingers and most of the time I barely need to do the dabbing/blending bit because it just becomes this paste on my skin that is none greasy just the slightest amount of stickiness depending on the amount you apply.

In otherwise, it primers and smooths all the area that needs a little TLC and when foundation goes over it, your skin is like a smooth canvas and foundation adheres to it effortlessly. It doesn’t control my oil flow but it did made my foundation stay on all day looking fresh and no signs of blotchiness.

It comes with a beige tint that is not obvious to the eyes, just a slight sheen as seen in the swatch above.

Who would love it: Those who are not already using primer, this is quick, easy to apply and oh so cute to pull out from any make up bag. It works on pretty much all skin type and works great with cream or liquid foundation.
