Natural Facelift with Thermage CPT Total Tip 3.0

Back in mid 2012, I did my first Thermage procedure as a preventive measure to ageing and to gain an overall lifted and tighten effect. Celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Ellen Degeneres are amongst a few that swears by this procedure and can be used annually as a non invasive anti-ageing treatment.

Last month, I visited Saphira Clinic in Armadale as they are the first clinic in Australia that carries the latest Thermage Total Tip 3.0 (new and improved version from the one I experienced previously) and I gave it a good whirl.

Proven to be safe and effective in treating areas like face and neck, Thermage Total Tip comes with double the volume of maximum bulk heat delivery which allows more tissue to be heated to higher temperatures, hence resulting in immediate visible improvement.

Only one procedure is needed for visible results and it lasts for years to come, optimal results will last between 18 – 24 months and usually it takes between 8 to 12 weeks for the full results to be seen, V shape face here I come!

I won’t go through the step by step of the procedure since I have covered it in my previous post here.

In terms of the pain factor, I actually find Thermage Total Tip more tolerable because this time I know what to expect and the pain only happens in certain spots around the jaw line and close to the lips so the biting effect wasn’t as excruciating throughout.

I’d say only 30-40% of the whole treatment was bit painful but nothing unbearable. Oh and the neck area definitely stings!

Christiana who did my procedure also took into consideration with my key concerning areas like neck, jaw and eye area to prevent droopy eyelids. One of my favourite part of Thermage is that there is visibly and physically no downtime with this procedure. I could go swimming right after and there was no redness, no swelling and absolutely no downtime at all.

The other reason why I chose Thermage is because it us from the reputable Solta Medical company that continuously refines and improve their technologies. So be sure to triple check that the machine is Thermage and isn’t some imitation (yes there are heaps!) in the market.

Thermage is best for those who have suffered a lot of skin elasticity loss and creases in skin to get the best visible results. For me, it is no doubt a maintenance program to prevent collagen loss in years to come and I intend to have this done every 24 months to yield the best results.

Ageing gracefully and naturally is key for me, so I will do all I can for my skin to repair and work on generating those collagen before I would ever succumb to surgical facelift.

This picture was taken one day apart with the same iphone app. The only difference is my makeup in the “after” picture. Regardless, within 24 hours I could see my general face to appear toner (less puffy) and especially my puffy right face is visibly less droppy too.

Follow me on instagram (@ponikuta) and I shall post a 8-12 weeks update too.

      Hi Christiana

I am really interested in this treatment and I am planning to visit your clinic.

Before I head to Melbourne ( I am in Sydney right now)

      just a little question:

why is “BODY TIP 3.0” on the package of Thermage device head not “TOTAL TIP 3.0”?

      Kind Regards

        Hi Bella,

Christiana actually replied to your comment through my email, here it is:

Yeh you are right it does say body tip on the box, because there is also a 1200 body tip, which is a bit different on the interface of the front of the tip. I could show you one of these but I don’t have one right now. I don’t use the 1200 body tip, as I like to use the 1200 total tip for arms, knees and body parts that don’t suit the use of the 16cm bigger size body tip. You wouldn’t use the 16cm on a body are where you couldn’t get really flat contact. The total tips 1200 come with a tiny little purple round label which says (CPT) and again if you knew w what you are looking for, you can see the difference on the interface.
The total tip has a more advanced cooling which makes it better to use on the face. I think they just didn’t change the box. Sometimes the warehouse send me the wrong tip but I can tell first from the box but then I always check the interface and there is a difference.

      Hi Kristin,

A treatment is approximately $2,400 onwards. As for the machine, the best way is to call the clinic for more information as I am not a trained practitioner to explain it to its best ability. Saphira Clinic 0448 290 519

      Hi Kristin,
At Saphira Clinic we charge $2400 for the 1200 total tip CPT Thermage treatment and this is a great tip to offer a complete face lifting with the neck and brow lift included. Most places charge anywhere from 3,000 – 4,000 but I like to offer this procedure for ALL clients in my clinic as I think it is great for younger women to ‘keep things together’ and a wonderful restoration for clients who want some repair and re tightening. Thermage procedure has been around for about 10 years, although the latest CPT Thermage model has certainly been a huge step forward in offering very predictable, safe, comfortable procedures with outstanding results for lifting and tightening the skin….Of all of the procedures that are available in our industry, as you can probably tell this is my all time FAVOURITE for lifting and tightening and my Asian clients love the new total tip for face slimming for opening up the eyes…Hope this helps but if you would like more info go to or
