Few weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to be invited to the launch of Dior Addict Fluid Stick event in Sydney. The event was to introduce us to the launch of their latest Dior Addict lip addition that is neither a lipstick, a gloss nor your typical lacquer.

Along with the Dior Addict Fluid Sticks aka Fabulous Wear High Impact Glossy Colour Lip Hybrid (woah, what a mouthful, I’ll stick with Fluidsticks!), we also welcomed some very exciting Le Vernis colours to the existing collection. Shall post more about the nail polishes next, stay tune for that post.

Back to Dior Addict Fluid Sticks, there is a total of 16 luminous colours to choose from nudes, soft tones to bright vibrant shades.

If you love pinks, corals and fun red shades, you’re in for a delight because I must tell you they are all quite true to colour and very wearable.

The uniqueness of these Fluid Sticks lies within their water based formula (no wax!) which delivers a very smooth and lightweight texture unlike any other similar (YSL Glossy Stain or Shiseido Lacquer Rouge which I raved about) lip products I have tested before. Dior Addict Fluid Sticks are by far the most lightweight yet pigmented lip product I have trialled.

At first look, the packaging can be slightly deceiving with its lipstick shaped clear tube but once you twist the lid off, an applicator wand follows. How ingenious of Dior to packaged it this way so you can spot exactly what colour you have picked up instead of having to squint and read the label to guess which shade it is. Clever huh?

I can’t decide which shade I love more. Mirage is a pink beige shade and is also the FIRST EVER beige lip product that looks good on my pigmented lips. Imagine my excitement! I can has nude-beigey lips too! Wonderland on the other hand is a fuschia pink shade that looks just screams for attention.

Overall, they are super lightweight yet doesn’t compromise in colour pigment. The finish is super shiny yet doesn’t feel tacky on the lips. Longevity wise, they are averaging at around 3-4 hours depending on your lips activity, definitely need a touch up after a meal.  I love how they don’t flake or dry out my lips also they don’t sink into the fine lines of my lips either. Yay!

Do I love Dior Addict Fluid Sticks? You bet cha!
