From the same parrot brand that brought us Eucalyptus oil back since 1896, Bosisto’s also cover other natural scented oil range like lavender, tea tree oil, etc. To be entirely honest, I am not a fan of lavender (and ahem Jasmine) scents. Personally I love the lavender colour but that’s as much as I can tolerate lavenders.
So when I was sent some of these, I had no intention to use/review them until I read on the pamphlet that you can use Bosisto’s Natural Lavender Spray on pet beds and as all dog owners would know that pet bed stinks! I got curious and did a spritz on Belle’s bed and the whiff I caught was surprisingly pleasant and tolerable! Best of all, it was long lasting in deodorizing stinky spots.
Surprise, surprise so I tried using the spray in our walk in wardrobe, in the shoe rack and bins – works like magic in getting rid of the dull, stuffy, stinky smell and I love how they are all natural, none of those synthetic, fake smelling scent.
As you all know Lavender oil is great for calming and sleep inducing. On top of that it is known for being able to reduce mild anxiety, improve sleep quality and promote relaxation. Bosisto’s Lavender Range comes with a spray, oil and solution blend and I use all three for different purposes.
Bosisto’s Lavender Spray $13.73 (100g) – This is more of a home fragrance for me and I spritz this almost everywhere from bedroom, Belle’s crate, her bedding, her clothes, my wardrobe, toilet, kitchen bins, laundry room, you get the drill. Oh and sometimes on le garçon’s sweaty gym gear and his post-running stinky feet.
Bosisto’s Lavender Oil $8.95 (25ml) – As for the lavender oil I use this in my air purifier and have it up and running 30 minutes before bed time. Instant soothing and relaxing sleeping environment which reminds me I need to keep this oil by my bedside table to sniff it whenever I am having trouble dozing off. Due to it being natural, you can also use this in your bath.
Bosisto’s Lavender Solution $11.95 (400ml)- This is a water soluble formula and is again great for promoting relaxation. That being said, it also doubles as an excellent multipurpose cleaner which I add to Belle’s blanket/mats/clothing when I put them in the wash. Alternatively, great to add a few drops onto pillow/handkerchief. Due to its antiseptic quality, you can use this on acnes, insect bites, cuts, scratches, blisters to help promote healing.
I guess this is the perfect case scenario of don’t judge a product before trialling it. I love how affordable they are and to be honest I don’t even remember lavender smelling like this and I have a strong suspect that I must have been traumatised by some fake synthetic lavender scent in the past.

I am big on home fragrance and am big on candles as well as reed diffusers. So when Yankee Candle released their new Botanical Reed Diffuser; they became my instant favourite.
Reason why I am in love because they look good on any desk, bench, cupboard, anywhere you put them. The flowers don’t look cheap or tacky and is a welcoming addition to any home. They come in amazing scents like Fresh Cut Roses, Garden Sweet Pea, Lemon Lavender, Lilac Blossom, True Rose and White Gardenia. I am reviewing the White Gardenia which is a stunning arrangement of white gardenias in full bloom.
In each Yankee Candle Botanical Reed Diffuser you’ll find a little vase, some artificial flower stems and the amazing fragrance oil. Each of these fragrances last for 3 months and the scent is just beautifully rich just like fresh flowers do. Surprisingly the fragrant is long lasting and I can smell it at all times, I love it. In fact, I love it so much I am hunting down True Rose to keep on my work desk and Lemon Lavender for my bathroom.
Perfect as a gift too as it comes in a lovely gift box!

More new scented candles from Yankee Candles! Fact, I cannot live through winter without candles. Right now we’re burning up Coastal Waters and Beach Wood (both very appropriate to remind us of summer) at home. These are available from tea lights to full size candle jars. I love the tea lights as they are self-extinguishing and the jars are just as great to be reused once the candle is finished.
Coastal Water - Clean and bracing… the rush of cool ocean spray from the breaking surf clears the mind and refreshes the soul.
Yankee Candle Coastal Water is quite light to the nose with a really fresh and clean crisp sweetness to it. Definitely one to burn during the day.
Beach wood - Seasoned by the elements… this modern blend of vetiver, salt air and driftwood creates an intriguing fragrance.
Yankee Candle Beach Wood is more empowering than Coastal Water with a distinctive woody scent to it. Perfect for evenings.

One of my favourite thing about winter is that you can keep the candle burning! Say hello to my latest favourite from Lucia Candle Mandarin & Tomato Flower. Packaging wise, this is great as a cute little gift or a treat to yourself. The simple packaging of the glass jar means that you can easily reuse it to store make up brushes, pens and whatever else you fancy.
Mandarin & Tomato Flower is an unusual combination, something I’ve not heard of before but surprisingly works really well. The soft lingering scent of sweet mandarin is very pleasant and refreshing to sniff to. You can barely smell the tomato flower, it is just a very faint hint of flowery scent.
It is also worth mentioning that the soy candle from Sapone Lucia is organic and is environmental friendly.
