While I was in Taipei last month, I picked up a concealer from the same maker of K-Palette 24 hour tattoo eye liner from City Super (Sogo, Taipei). Truth to be told, I was quite disappointed with their liquid eye liner but when I saw these concealer I thought it was very cute and after sampling some (surprisingly creamy and hydrating), I knew I had to bring one home. I picked #02 Yellow Beige, which will be perfect for my skin tone.
As you can see from the swatch, this concealer is very moisturising and creamy. Absorbs into my under eye area very quickly without enhancing any fine lines or drying throughout the day. While this is designed to cover dark circles, I find this pretty good at neutralising redness too.
There was a few days, I only used this concealer (dabbing on areas – chin, nose area, under eyes that needed some concealer) to work with no foundation and is surprised at the coverage and how versatile this concealer is.
This concealer is long lasting, feels super lightweight on skin and brightens my skin instantly.
I smoothed some on the back of my hands and look how smooth and brightened the area is. Overall, I am impressed and definitely will repurchase when I run out.
I think this is available to purchase online (sasa) and cost roughly AUD$11. What a bargain!

In the month of February 2013, Dermalogica is introducing the Daily Essentials Gift-With Purchase kits. Focusing on three main formulations – smooth, hydrate and protect skin from UV exposure.
When you purchase your favourite 100ml Skin Health Moisturiser (choosing from either Active Moist, Intensive Moisture Balance or Skin Smoothing Cream), you’ll receive travel sizes of Daily Microfoliant (amazing scrub) and Solar Defence Booster SPF 50 (brand new prodz).
I received the Intensive Moisture Balance which is a moisturiser designed for dry or prematurely aging skin. I have been battling a weird itchy (from time to time)/peeling/red patch on my right cheek and glad to report back that while the itchiness & redness hasn’t gone away (now I am suspecting this is an allergic reaction); I do find that my peeling has gone completely since I have started Intensive Moisture Balance during my night skincare routine.
Do drop by your nearest Dermalogica Skin Bar for a free face mapping and find out which moisturiser suits you best.

Silly Belle is back for 2013! Hello world and let’s see what we have been up to.
Her cute kimono from Taipei!
Celebrating Chinese New Year 2013, the year of snake.
Nemo~ outfit picked by Uncle Shizuka from Taiwan.
Signing off with a cute pink strawberry hat again from Taiwan.
Each time when I travel, I always make it to a point to pick up nail polishes because these can’t be purchased online and are usually cheaper overseas. When I went to Taiwan for my holiday recently, I picked up a few nail polishes as a treat to myself. Today I am swatching two of them and both of which are from YSL.
If you are not familiar with YSL nail polish, they come in a sleek and elegant glass bottle. The brush applicator is easy to use and applies evenly across my nail bed. The pigment is intense and the finish is shiny. What makes this really unique is that it contains Chil Rose Oil that strengthens, moisturises and protects nails from chipping and cracking.
YSL La Laque Couture #14 Violine Surrealiste
I believe this shade is from their permanent collection. A very unique blend of purple and fuschia, something I don’t really own in my existing nail polish collection. Surprise, surprised I got quite a bit compliment during the week while I was wearing this.
YSL La Laque Couture #11 Rose Futuriste
I picked up this shade from their collection at that time and I believe this was not from their existing nail polish collection. It’s a rich hot pink shade that I probably already own 50 similar shades but yet can’t help myself to keep buying more!
Both nail polishes are now available on counters now
Recently, Grown Alchemist beauty products underwent a facelift and say hello to their new delicious and pretty looking lip balm. Very Aesop don’t you think? For those of you who are not familiar with Grown Alchemist, it is an Australian brand that focuses on healthy skincare. All products are made with bio active certified organic ingredients.
This is my first time trialling their lip product, the watermelon & vanilla lip balm is surprisingly good. It smells like fruity watermelon and sweet vanilla on the lips. Texture wise, it looks and feels like rich, silky, melted balmy texture. Think of a thick, rich balm in a tin is being melted into rich silky fluid.
In terms of sweetness, while it smell really sweet it doesn’t taste sweet on the lips so that helps to prevent me from liking my lips. This lip balm is definitely a great option for overnight use, prepping lips in the morning (gently blot over lips prior to lipstick application) and perfect for bloggers who does a lot of lips swatching. I however don’t see myself using this during the day as I find that it is a little rich for my liking, it does leave my lips looking like it has a layer of oil over it.
RRP AUD$19.95

From the brand that we all know and love, there’s a new special edition collection on sale and it is the Vineyard Peach. For all fruity, peachy lovers out there, this duo does not disappoint. If you have dry skin, you’ll love to know that the shower gel is soap free, lathers up easily and smells delicious.
As for the scrub which I always recommend to use on dry skin and prior to body wash for a thorough exfoliation action to get rid of dead skin cell. Personally I find that The Body Shop body scrub are really easy to smooth and massage over dry skin. This promotes better cleansing and moisturising after shower which makes a huge difference.
Vineyard Peach Shower Gel $12.95
Vineyard Peach Body Scrub $27.95
