Clinique Long Last Lipstick in #Runway Coral

Say hello to Clinique’s latest limited edition long last lipstick in #Runway Coral. Coral has made a huge splash all over the beauty scene in the past five years or so and you’ll see from time to time corals keep emerging back on trends and in our lipstick palettes. Many have tried but not many have nailed the formula without making lips too drying or clashing with your skin tone.

Inspired by Clinique’s Global Colour Artist – Jenna Menard, this super flattering coral is definitely a must have if you’re looking for the perfect coral for your lips.

Look at the smoothness, the comfortable shine that only a well moisturised lips could have. Big love!

Clinique Almost Lipstick #Tender Honey

Previously I did a review on Clinique Almost Lipstick in the classic #Black Honey shade. Recently, Clinique released 7 new ultra sheer shades to join the iconic Black Honey Almost Lipstick.

As you can see #Tender Honey is a really sheer and natural colour as compared to #Black Honey. In addition, apart from the moisturising effect of this Almost Lipstick, it is way too sheer on my lips and can only see the slightest hint of sheerness.

The formula is very smooth to go on and your natural lip colour shade definitely comes through with this lip stick. This is also the perfect stepping stone for women who are not brave enough to trial lipsticks and colours on their lips. Despite the sheerness, I love the soothing effect of this lipstick, it certainly does its job to keep my lips well moisturised throughout the day.

Clinique Quickliner for Eyes Intense

Why I love it:

  • I’m lazy and this is a major time saver, tested to apply on moving vehicle, 5 minutes to run out of the door and on holiday. I dare say this is my HG eyeliner
  • How-to: repeat after me, Draw and Smudge, draw and smudge, draw and smudge (you can’t go wrong with this eyeliner)
  • Self sharpening (these are the key words to my heart, refer to point one, I am lazy to sharpen eyeliners.)
  • Richly pigmented consistency, we’re talking about intense colour that does not fade
  • Smooth, effortless application – no tugging on the eyes
  • Creamy texture meaning this won’t flake or melt away during the day
  • Comes with a unique smudger tip that has a sharp tip for precise application eg: under eye area
  • Long wearing, water resistant formula
  • Fragrance free which makes it suitable for sensitive eyes

I have the #intense chocolate which is a universal brown shade that is great for daily wear and still cool enough to pull off at night with a thicker application and smudge off for a smokey look. Next I am eyeing the plum and midnight blue shades.

Available in 6 wearable shades:

  • intense black – deep black
  • intense charcoal – charcoal
  • intense chocolate – brown
  • intense midnight – midnight blue
  • intense plum – rich plum
  • intense ivy – vibrant green

Clinique: Almost Lipstick

Clinique Almost Lipstick in #06 Black Honey

Not quite a lipstick and not quite a balm. This lipstick looks quite dark violet and scary on the stick and doesn’t look very flattering to anyone when I first saw this but once applied on my lips, I was impressed. The texture is glossy with a nice hint of healthy shine to the lips and the coverage is quite sheer.

Turns out #Black Honey is a dark reddish shade that looks very flattering to my skin tone. (I also took a picture with it on my lips but it didn’t show up as true to the swatch on the back of my hands) You’ll love to hear that this doesn’t stain lips either so once it rubs off after a meal, it doesn’t leave those annoying ‘leftover’ lipstick marks.

Clinique: Turnaround Concentrate Radiance Renewer

Left: Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Visible Skin Renewer (old), Right: Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Radiance Renewer (new)

For the longest time, Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Visible Skin Renewer has been ‘the’ HG serum for me. I have heard mixed reviews regarding this serum but it has worked perfectly for me – delivering what it promises to do, even out my skin done, reduce dull appearance and overall smooth and plumps my skin.

So when Clinique told me that they have launched a newer version of the same thing, I was interested to see how it fare with the old one. Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Radiance Renewer comes in a shorter and wider bottle (something that is barely noticeable) then the old pump packaging. To me, an upgrade is always better than no upgrade, to say I was stoked about the new product would be an understatement.

Why I love it:

  • It is an exfoliating serum, by exfoliating it creates a luminous skin finish perfect for those that are prone to flakiness, dry bits or uneven skin tone (ME, ME, ME!).
  • The cocktail of ingredients help to optimise surface skin by naturally boosting cell renewal to unveil a more even skin tone, softer and younger looking skin.
  • Star ingredients: Salicylic Acid, Lactobionic Acid, Padina Pavonica
  • Silky, oil-free texture that absorbs onto skin matte and leaving it comfortable
  • I usually incorporate some massage technique to ensure the products get thoroughly worked into my skin and boost some circulation at the same time
  • Do I rate this product? Why of course yes! I know it’s an instant winner when upon first application you can instantly see results and the same results still show through in the following applications
  • Great for all skin type both day and night but be sure to follow up with a moisturiser to lock in the serum goodness and deligent SPF protection always.

Clinique: Almost Bronzer SPF 15

Say hello to Clinique’s limited edition  Almost Bronzer SPF 15 in#01 Light/Medium. For years, I have been complaining about bronzer being too shimmery, too brown, too dirty looking and I have stayed clear and away from them for years.

Lately, a few brands has released “new” technology bronzers. Bronzers that are natural looking, that isn’t dirty looking, doesn’t appear too dark and brown and are totally wearable. Lancome is one of them and now Clinique is doing a bronzing duo that comes with broad spectrum SPF.

The lighter shade is very light in shade and the darker shades suits my skin tone perfectly. I have been using this (a combination of both shades in a large powder brush) as a contouring shade rather than a bronzer.
