Remember how I mentioned about those Guerlain to die for Holiday collection?
Especially those crazy KissKiss Gloss in Gold Princess?
Well, I found a cheap alternative. It’s a drugstore brand - Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipgloss.
I know it doesn’t look very appealing but the packaging is almost identical to the Chanel Glossimer ones (I said, almost). It looks a lot more classier and better in real life, I promise.
The texture of this gloss is surprisingly silky and light. The sheer color is very moisturizing with a light light-reflecting shine. Very subtle type of gloss.
It has also SPF 15 that provides the additional protection that lip glosses don’t usually have.
I will probably won’t get it again but it was worth a try. Again, I must emphasize that the packaging is pretty glamorous.

Although this brush is the ideal tool for Terracotta powder, I use it to pair with my Meteorites Powder. The thick and wide brush makes picking powder up a breeze.
It is very practical, you can hide it in your makeup bag, your bag and bring it anywhere and everywhere with you.
You can also double it up as a bronzer brush, a dusting powder brush, a powder brush, a sparkling powder brush. You get the drill.
Bonus points, is that it looks super pretty and cool compare to the normal stick brushes. You can slide your finger across the hole to have a firm grip on the brush and do your thing.
It was a gift. I don’t know how much it is worth.
So I was playing at the Guerlain counter the other day right, and decided to pick up the Les Meteorites Powder in Mythic. It looks something like this:
Very pinkish, very girlie and again I must add very beautiful packaging. I use it as a veil above my tinted moisturized skin since I almost never wear foundation no more.
The pink bits provides me skin a healthy glow. Great alternative for blushes or bronzers.
The green bits in it tones down the redness in the skin. Perfect for me prone to break-out-in-red patches skin.
The mauve attracts light to the face.
The gold and pearl combine to create highlights, while brightens the overall areas.
Who doesn’t love multi- purpose makeup? I know I love it to death.
The powder can be pretty light. So if you are into a deep color or shade perhaps you will have to layer quite a few layers.

Sometimes (by that I meant most of the time), there are so many things that I want to have but knowing in reality I don’t really need them, really.
One of the main reason is because I do not wear a lot of makeup lately. I have abandoned my MAC Hyper Real in my makeup bag and have not used it for more than 2 months now.
At most, I’ll just prep and prime, concealer, eye makeup (most time consuming), bronzer/blush and lipstick.
On lazy days, I’ll just do the brow and lipstick.
Another reason, is that I am not skillful enough to blend and create different looks with all them colors. So I’ll stick to what I’ll do best. Simple color, blend and blend some more.
On top of that, I guess I am not to keen to experiment with different kind of make up looks(I call it the made up look). Mainly because the man do not fancy too much makeup.
But this season, everything just look so beautiful and glamorous that makes you want them all. For example, the up and coming MAC Stylistic.
Just look at that. Forget the colors, the shades. Who can resist the shiny, sophisticated looking gloss. The oh so glamorous brush handles and don’t get me started with the shiny beads.

Really, I think it is more about having it rather than using it. Can you tell I need another set of brushes already?
Seriously, I think this season is meant for me. Will you buy me these for my Christmas pressies?

I think I have an addiction to shiny, gold, pretty stuff. I must look up the dictionary or in this case wikipedia to find out what addiction is that. Dayum.
Can I not be broke?

This fancy little gem is a great eye liner to brag about. Not only is the packaging ever so unique; it has the most striking dark and sparkling color. It is also known as the modernized Terracotta version of the traditional oriental kohl.
The loose powder texture has a very high concentration of pigments. I was applying it on my lids and when I tried to gently sweep away the droplets, it smeared a dark black line across my face. Bad as.
After a day out, a mini nap, the powder still has a good impeccable hold on my lids.
The black in this kohl is very, very black and velvety mysterious; which I like.
The only downside is, it seems impossible to apply with the application wand. I tried but nothing sticked onto the wand. So I had to pour some onto the back of my hand and use the MAC 266 to apply as a sexy liner.
I am growing to love my 266.
