Along with their Spring 2012 collection, Tom Ford Beauty releases four additional nail lacquer shades to their existing nail lacquer collection. Previously I have blogged about the Tom Ford Cream Color for Eyes and this time around, I will be swatching 3 of the 4 new shades.
Tom Ford Nail Lacquer – Â #Gold Haze
True to its name, it is a subtle metallic gold shade that is quite light and is flattering to the nails. Texture wise, this is a breeze to apply and remove and I like how pigmented they are. You only need one careful coating.
Tom Ford Nail Lacquer – #Burnishes Rouge
Surprisingly, this shade looks darker on the nails than it is in the bottle. Also, it has more of a glossy overall finish. Again, you will only need a very teeny amount for an even, smooth coat.
Tom Ford Nail Lacquer – #Silver Smoke
Frosty finish, my favourite out of the lot and is such a gorgeous subtle metallic silver shade. A must have!
RRP AUD$45 each

Left to right: #Lady Luck, #Big Money
Glitter is not limited for just party season. Sally Hansen recently released Gem Crush Nail Color that is full coverage and delivers intense multi dimensional glitter polish.
Available in 8 shades, these nail polishes are easy to apply and is recommended to use with base and top coat. While it is recommended to apply three coats, I find one-two coats was sufficient with #Big Money and approximately two-three coats with #Lady Luck.
RRP AUD$9.95 each

A while ago, I was introduced to a new brand of 3 free nail polishes launched in 2012. I got to pick some colours and here are my top picks from Darling. From left: #hawaiian punch, #paradise & #showpony.
I find the application really easy to manage and the finish is surprisingly smooth with a matte-ish. The colours also lasted the whole week chip free on my digits, highly recommend them! Loving how all the shades blends really well with each other too.
Gorgeous colours under the sunlight. Darling also sells ombre set, definitely one not to miss!

essie #topless & barefoot – a barely there soft beige pink
#Topless & Barefoot is a creamy pale colour, Â goes on milky and none streaky even though pale colours tend to go very streaky. So this is a plus! The barely there nude colour looks really well on my nails, a very refreshing change. I love it!
essie #braziliant – hot orange with a touch of shimmer
#braziliant – in the bottle I see a hint of purple shimmer which for some reason doesn’t show in pictures. The finish is a vibrant orange. Perfect for Summer.
Both nail polishes are available on Essie nail counter nowÂ
BYS – #Glitter Purple
MY first BYS nail polish swatch. Pretty impressed with the longetivity and the colour intensity with just one coat. This shades appear to be more of a lavender shade than a purple with just the right amount of shimmer that makes it versatile for both work wear and night party wear.

We all know and love our Sally Hansen nail treatment products but not many of us (including myself) are aware of their colour products offering until recently when I was introduced to their Salon Effects and other nail products which I will be reviewing soon.
Today, I will be reviewing two nail polishes from their Complete Salon Manicure collection. These nail polishes comes with a wide application head that is easy to manoeuvre. Due to the colours being nude, I had to apply two coats (usually it is one coat for me with other nail polishes).
Complete Salon Manicure – #140 Peachy Keen
Sally Hansen covers colour from nude to bright. As I am not a fan of nude nails, Peachy Keen is surprisingly flattering for my skin tone and visually elongates my fingers.
Complete Salon Manicure – #220 Cafe Au Lait
This shade is exactly what its name implies – very latte! Personally I didn’t like how this colour clashes with my skin colour but no doubt it’ll be the perfect fit for someone who is tan.
RRP AUD$16.95 each
Available at KMart, Target, Big W, Priceline, Price Attack, Myer, David Jones, Woolworths and pharmacies
