Left to right: #Lady Luck, #Big Money
Glitter is not limited for just party season. Sally Hansen recently released Gem Crush Nail Color that is full coverage and delivers intense multi dimensional glitter polish.
Available in 8 shades, these nail polishes are easy to apply and is recommended to use with base and top coat. While it is recommended to apply three coats, I find one-two coats was sufficient with #Big Money and approximately two-three coats with #Lady Luck.

My favourite nail product from Sally Hansen has just released the limited edition Sally Hansen Salon Effects Easter Real Nail Polish Strips. This time around Sally Hansen included five cute and chirpy fun designs
- All a Flutter
- Pink-a-dot
- Mad for Plaid
- Not a Peep
- Checker Out
#Pink a Dot – The dots are bigger than your usual polka dots. Cute!
#Mad for Plaid – This design reminds me of Easter egg wrappers, love the finish. Subtle enough for day to day wear too.
#All a Flutter – This is more of a translucent finish design with butterfly and flowers/leaves finish. The most subtle of the lot and definitely compliments all skin type and goes well with all ages.
RRP AUD$14.95 each

For the longest time I am only accustomed to Sally Hansen’s nail treatment products (since back in the days in the 90s). Hence recently I have been introduced to products like Salon Effect and Complete Salon Manicure and am deeply impressed with the qualities of both products and is now eager to trial out the rest of the nails products from Sally Hansen.

Takes approximately 3 careful strokes to paint nails. Comes in a range of shades from pinks, reds, beige to black.
Give it a go if you like convenient, fast and easy solution to nail polish.
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails

If you have weak nails, this would be your saviour. This clear nail treatment helps to keep nails hard, Â nail polish chip resistant and prevent nails splitting for a longer time. Every week, I use this as my weekly nail treatment and use it clear and newly buffed nails.
Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat
RRP AUD$14.95
Double Duty is great to use after ‘Hard as Nails’ as a base and top coat. This helps to prevent chipping, splitting or cracking of nails. Has been a best seller for a very long time and I will always have one in my nail wardrobe.
Merry Christmas 2011 everyone. Eat up, drink up and stay safe in this silly season. Here’s a funny video I made up at JibJab wishing you a very Merry Christmas from the three of us. I’ll leave you with a mani I attempted two weeks ago.
Products used from left:

- Mode Cosmetics Nail Enamel $2.95
- Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat $9.95 #Fuchsia Shock
- Sally Hansen Insta -Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat $15.45
The gorgeous green shade is from Face of Australia, it is however not in the market yet so product shoot was not included. The fuchsia crackle on top of the green shade worked out pretty well.
Here is a shot of my never seen before left hand making its appearance on my blog. As I am left handed I never shoot pictures of it with my wonky right hand application. I took approximately 30 pictures for this and this is the ‘clearest’ pic that I can produce. Clearly no right hand shooting for me, I suck at it. So what do you think?

Benefit – Ticket to Glossytown
RRP AUD$49
You know how most of the beauty kit in the market always comes with shades that are undesirable and you’re always end up stuck with shades that you’ll never end up using? Well, you won’t have that issue with this because all the lip shine shades are actually very wearable and you’ll get plenty of wears out of them.
Jane Iredale – ChocoholicksÂ
RRP AUD$50Â
These babies are good enough to eat out from the palette. Smells delicious, pigmented and minus the stickiness. The four flavours from these lip glosses are Blood Orange, Espresso, Very Berry and Chili Pepper. Amazing combination isn’t it?
Sally Hansen – Salon Effect Christmas Collection
RRP AUD14.95
I am obsessed with Salon Effects. You’re probably sick of listening how I love them but I’ll do it again anyway.
They are quick, comes with so many amazing designs, easy to use, doesn’t have any down time and definitely no smudges. What’s there not to love?
We all know and love our Sally Hansen nail treatment products but not many of us (including myself) are aware of their colour products offering until recently when I was introduced to their Salon Effects and other nail products which I will be reviewing soon.
Today, I will be reviewing two nail polishes from their Complete Salon Manicure collection. These nail polishes comes with a wide application head that is easy to manoeuvre. Due to the colours being nude, I had to apply two coats (usually it is one coat for me with other nail polishes).
Complete Salon Manicure – #140 Peachy Keen
Sally Hansen covers colour from nude to bright. As I am not a fan of nude nails, Peachy Keen is surprisingly flattering for my skin tone and visually elongates my fingers.
Complete Salon Manicure – #220 Cafe Au Lait
This shade is exactly what its name implies – very latte! Personally I didn’t like how this colour clashes with my skin colour but no doubt it’ll be the perfect fit for someone who is tan.
RRP AUD$16.95 each
Available at KMart, Target, Big W, Priceline, Price Attack, Myer, David Jones, Woolworths and pharmacies
We all know how much I love Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips because it is easy, simple and quick to use. Best of all, you don’t need to wait for it to dry and it last just as long and if not longer than your average nail polish application.
Check out their gorgeous limited edition Halloween specials which is now available on counters RRP AUD$14.95 each!
#Ghoulie Girl – So cute!
#Spun For You  - My personal favourite!
If you know me, you’ll know that I am extremely lazy when it comes to housework, cooking (bleh) and being fancy about my nails. Usually I’ll leave it to the professionals to get it sorted, I blame myself for not having the creative bone. So when I was given a few boxes of Sally Hansen’s Salon Effects (real nail polish strips); I’ll be honest with you I procrastinated to uses them.
Simply because I couldn’t be bothered, even though I was told that it was very easy t o use and the end results are amazing. So I left them in my “to try” box for months and one day I got bored trawling through my boxes and decided to give it a go.
The result speaks for itself in the picture below. I was dumbfounded at how easy it was to apply. It was as simple as peeling it out of the packaging, slap it onto the fingers and a gentle thug and buff and viola! I did all 10 fingernails in less than 10 minutes, no kidding.
#260 Glitz Blitz
Best of it all? No drying time required and all I did was just applied an additional layer of top coat over it. Look at how vibrant and perfectly fit for my nail shape, no trimming required either. Definitely my go-to party nail from now onwards. Everyone was surprised that it was peel and stick nail polish strips instead of real glittery nail polish.
Mine lasted 7 days with no peeling, no chipping, no flaking whatsoever until I had them removed by this lovely lady at Miss Fox (bless her for it took her a while to remove them, she was impressed with how long lasting these strips were) to get my moon mani – which you will soon see in my upcoming post.
Overall, I highly recommend the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips RRP AUD$14.95. Each kit comes with:
- 16 nail polish strips (for you to pick the right sizes and essentially these are one-offs),
- cuticle stick to help push and smooth the strips and
- a mini file/buffer to prep and buff off additional strips.
