When it comes to thirst quenching, we reach for refreshing Schweppes mineral water but when it comes to revitalising my body and soul; I try my best to make time to pamper myself at least once a week. This is usually done over the weekend, I often set aside 2 hours of “pampering” session aka “me” time. It is important to set time aside for yourself each week because we often get so filled up with social life that we often forget to treat ourselves.
While my pampering session doesn’t have to be really fancy or over the top, I enjoy painting my own nails, giving myself a nice thorough body scrub, applying hair mask and facial mask to feel thoroughly renewed both inside and out.

This time around, I’m back to talk about social gatherings and etiquettes. You see, being a beauty blogger I often find myself in many launches and events. I used to be that awkward person in social events hating every single moment of it, feeling all self conscious, avoiding eye contact and all. Then one day came along and I pretty much snapped out of that mentality, I told myself I could either be pathetic and keep using the same excuse of being shy, don’t know what I can say or I could actually put in some effort and make something out of it.
So I started by smiling, a simple yet such a strong move. I smiled at myself, to people I didn’t know (surprise, surprise so many people smile back!), maintained eye contact and forced myself out of my comfort zone. Then before I realise it, everything else came into place. The conversations, the small talks, the social bit of it all fell into place.
I guess the moral of the story is that you have to be and feel comfortable about yourself in order for others to feel the same way about you and warm up to you. Until you make that decision about yourself and step out of the comfort zone, you will always be that awkward person in the social setting that people will find it so easy to avoid and forget.

A handshake is the first indication for you to judge how a person is. I often find weak, half hearted handshakes puts me off a person. Apart from having a firm handshake, always keep your nails clean and hands looked after as we often neglect how important it is when it comes to hand care. I have personally hated those times where I have to shake sandpaper for hands!

Soon it will be Spring and the first thing that comes to mind is to re-organising and spring cleaning it out at my place (oh and of course Spring dresses shopping!). When it comes to organisation, I know I need drastic help in this department from getting more storage boxes to store clothes to constantly finding ways to store my every expanding beauty products call out tubs.
You see make up products are quite easy to store away but when it comes to hair/body products and gadgets, I find them the hardest to store while keeping them accessible. Let’s not even begin with wardrobe organisation (I reckon this is a constant battle for 99% of the women out there).
