Mask really do make a difference to the face. Ask any celebrities and they’ll tell you that all those nifty masks are the secret to glowing/clear/healthy/plump skin at all the red carpet events.
They are plenty of mask out there. Detoxifying, hydrating, brightening/whitening and firming/lifting. These mask are almost suitable for just about everyone.
Of course there are others like peeling, exfoliating and etc. These should be use with cautious depending on your skin condition.
Some of my all time favorite mask includes SKII’s Brightening Sheet Mask, Dermalogica’s Multivitamin Masque, Missha’s Vital Effect Extra Collagen Mask, InEssence Moisturizing Mask & Missha’s Peeling Gel.
It is recommended to do as many moisturizing/hydrating mask a week as you like.
I have oily combination skin and I do 3-4 hydrating mask a week and it works wonder to my face without breaking it out. On top of that, the next day my T-zone is less likely to be shiny or oily because the skin is well moisturize hence less production of oil.
On top of that, I do one detoxifying mask, 1-2 exfoliating, 1-2 brightening mask a week depends on how busy I am.
Combined with a simple daily 4 step beauty routine; you’ll be surprise to see the result on your face. Because I am.
I have been using this cleanser for a while and it was rather disappointing. Thinking all SkII products haven’t fail me yet and along came the cleanser.
The texture was rather non-foamy which I like.
Smell reeks of the pitera. Some people hates it, some people find it acceptable. I am in between.
Again, I suffered bad breakout while using this.
Might work for you but I don’t see any noticeable difference for myself.
I am never gonna jeopardize my skin with bad products again. Hence, I binned it.

I have been using SKII Facial Treatment Repair C for more than 2 weeks now.
I am happy to let you know this highly concentrated serum works wonder to hydrate + plumps up the skin, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines (I have prove for this, especially around the eye area) and also improves the skin texture and elasticity.
This oil-free repair C contains the concentrated Pitera as do most of other SKII products.
I especially love the current SKII range that I am using because you can use almost all the product around the eye area. Including the essence, day/night cream and this.
If you want plump, refined, dewy textured skin. Look no further. This is the ultimate answer to perfect skin.
All you need to do is to massage it into your skin. Simple as that.

Some time ago, I’ve started to use this SK-II Whitening Source. I am told it is discontinued and now I know why. Don’t get me wrong, to begin with I am a huge SK-II fan and I have huge faith in it but this definitely did nothing to my skin as compared to other SK-II products.
This whitening source is an oil free gel hydrator which promises to bring radiance, tone and help reduce spots, pigmentations and freckles.
To be fair, I see the moisture and tone part but nothing else. And any reasonable moisturizer can do the tone and moisture thing.
This is by far the most disappointing product that I have used given its reputation and promising ads.
Luckily I didn’t have to buy it.
It has been more than 2 weeks since I’ve started using the Advanced Signs Treatment cream from SKII and I am deeply in love with it.
The texture of this cream is surprisingly light even when I had massaged 2 pearl sized amount onto my face and neck. (Sometime I can be a little heavy handed and put more than I should)
My face was never greasy and it was thoroughly adsorbed well overnight; waking up to supple and silky soft skin every morning.
I have always really envy people with healthy, smooth skin. Alas, I was not blessed with such superiority. My skin was dull, dark, with a plenty of acne and scars when I was a teenager.
The acne might have gone but the dull, dark and scars are still visible.
That is why I try truly hard to maintain and improve my skin condition. Believe me, I have tried everything possibly done to the face without going through surgery. Intense Pulsed Light treatments, extraction facials, whitening facials, microdermabration in the clinic, epidermic resurfacing, chemical peel and whats not to have better skin like I have today. (Still not entirely satisfied with it)
Back to the point, this cream helps fight the multiple signs of aging and approaching the mid twenties, it is crucial to keep the skin supple and protected. We don’t want premature fine lines, wrinkles and age spots do we?
I liked how this cream is so whispery light yet does what it do. If you are looking for a good cream to use day or night; in my case I only use it for night time and I usually slap on a huge amount, this is definitely worth to invest on. Especially during hot summer nights or in hotter climate, it doesn’t feel no greasy at all.

I was suppose to write about this post but was thinking to pass the 28 day test before I can blog about this particular product with my honest opinion. Unfortunately, I have totally forgotten about it until now so yea here we go.
I believe SK-II is no foreign brand to fellow Asians as it is one of the darling brands of Asia with Sammi Cheng’s face on it everywhere. SK-II is rapidly becoming popular around the globe and is about to conquer all the “white” continents as well. It is said to be so popular that one bottle is sold somewhere in the world every 28 seconds.
I have always been the first to ignore “trends” especially beauty trends. I believe in good old products or products that last the trial of a time. Hence, I am a little late being introduced to SK-II.
I did not want to jump into the whole skincare range so I was given a bottle of sample to try for 28 days and decide if it does any wonder or not.
The secret ingredient is Pitera – which contains a natural collection of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and organic acids that helps to restore the skin’s natural rhythm by stimulating it’s renewal process.
The verdict: Pretty clear skin. Firm and smoother skin. Odorless. (Me like!!) Although, there were no miracle super white or clear skin in sight (honestly, no product can) but it gave my skin a firm texture and revitalizes dull skin which I like.
Eventually, I went out to get a bottle and included it into one of my already too-much skincare products.
